Labuan Bajo digital agency, Lingkotech, had the opportunity to participate in a strategic discussion on Strengthening the Creative Economy Ecosystem with the Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, on Friday (November 14, 2025) at Puncak Waringin, Labuan Bajo.
The meeting was attended by 10 creative economy players and MSMEs from West Manggarai operating in the crafts, culinary, fashion, and photography sub-sectors. The event was facilitated by the Labuan Bajo Flores Tourism Authority (LBFTA) and the West Manggarai Regional Government, demonstrating their commitment to strengthening networks and growing the creative economy in this super-priority tourism destination.
In this forum, creative economy players were given the opportunity to introduce their businesses and share challenges and ideas relevant to the development of the regional creative economy ecosystem.
Lingkotech Founder, Engel Vione, expressed his appreciation for the government’s support for this productive dialogue space.
“Lingkotech is here as a digital solution for MSMEs and tourism players during the pandemic, focusing on website creation services in Labuan Bajo and developing digital platforms to strengthen the marketing of local products. The ‘Lingko’ philosophy reflects the collaborative culture of the Manggarai people, which we translate into technology,” said Engel.
Over the past three years, Lingkotech has developed dozens of websites for partners in various sectors, including the official website for the Golo Koe Festival, which made it into the top 10 of Karisma Event Nusantara, and the Wae Lolos tourism platform, which helped the village win the award for Best Tourism Village under Bank Indonesia’s Guidance in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
Engel added that the digital industry demands continuous adaptation to technological developments such as Artificial Intelligence. In closing, Engel also expressed his hopes for the development of the creative industry in Eastern Indonesia.
“We hope that the central and regional governments will continue to support the growth of the creative economy ecosystem, so that talent and innovation from the far reaches of Eastern Indonesia can also have a significant impact on the national economy,” Engel emphasized.
Responding to the presentations by creative economy players, Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya stated that strengthening the creative economy ecosystem is a national priority.
“Learning from the COVID-19 pandemic, we realize that tourism is a crucial economic engine. However, the creative economy is equally important. When certain situations occur that cause the tourism sector to decline, the creative economy must be able to become the next backbone,” said the Minister.
He also emphasized the importance of listening to the aspirations of creative economy players in the regions to support equitable growth in the creative subsector.
“The growth of the creative subsector is very rapid. To ensure greater equity, we need to ensure that creative economy players in regions like Labuan Bajo also have access to support and opportunities,” he added.
Through this meeting, Lingkotech further strengthened its commitment to becoming a digital transformation partner for MSMEs, creative economy actors, and tourism actors through Labuan Bajo Digital Agency services such as Website development, Search Engine Optimization services, and digital marketing assistance.
